PRAYER REQUESTS

-LANGUAGE LEARNING
Pray the Lord will continue to open up my ears to hear the language and loosen my tongue to speak it. Pray my pride doesn’t win the day and that I continue to build deep friendships with the people here. Pray I will learn quickly and love well in the process. The first eval went well but there is still so much to learn!

After having my team here and having them share with me what they were hearing the people say made me jealous for the depth of relationship and understanding they have. I pray God will help me to continue to be disciplined.

-CHRISTMAS
My co-workers leave December 3rd and I will be here for about a month and then will go take a break (that I am really looking forward to!). Pray this month will be filled with the beauty and simplicity of why Christ came to this earth. I pray I am overwhelmed by the true meaning of Christmas as I live this month with the Bisorios.

PRAISES

-Let’s praise God for all the work He did in hearts and minds over the Ephesians course. So much. I wish you could have all heard the heart felt testimonies of how so many were convicted, encouraged and challenged by what they heard. We praise God that there was nothing that disrupted God’s Word from being heard. No big rain storm or delay or death.

-One of the biggest things our team has been praying for is the youth in Bisorio. They have been struggling in a handful areas and as Bob met with them as a large group he challenged them to come see him if they truly desired to grow in their relationship with Christ. That day a few guys showed up and then the next day 3 more and then last night 2 more. Bob and some of the elders here are beginning to meet with them and read God’s Word and we are praying that the Spirit changes hearts and that they continue to meet once Bob leaves. BUT for now, we praise God for how He is drawing men to Him.

-I know this sounds trite, but I am thankful for God’s kindness as I got my Christmas packages and was able to decorate my house a little and friends/family from home put together cards and a little treat to open each day in December. It just feels like lavished kindness of the Lord.
